Functions

  • Infrastructure, Analyst, Network Technical  
  • Support, Develop and perform implementation activities for projects        
  • Perform Quality Assurance activities including identifying and submitting network design issues to Engineering  
  • Participate in Follow-the-Sun (FTS) on-call rotation        
  • Primary contact for vendor TAC in support of operational problems     
  • Develop and maintain Technical Support process and deliverables     
  • Develop and maintain process for hand-over of technology and service to Operations 
  • Develop and maintain Network Service Support Models       
  • Develop and maintain Operations Practices       
  • Develop and maintain workflow automation               
  • Other Responsibilities       
  • Assist with development and maintenance of       
  • Network Service General Practices       
  • Network technology and service ISRMPs       
  • Network technology recommendations       
  • Network device OS recommendations       
  • Technology training program       
  • Network service strategy       
  • Device configuration standards              

Technical Skill Requirements   

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Telecom Networking related experience with specialties in supporting one or more areas:         
  • Medium to large enterprise networking infrastructure/services      
  • Core Networking Technologies – Routing, Switching, TCP/IP, Wireless LAN Transport technologies – MPLS, Frame Relay, VSAT 
  • Leased lines, campus cabling       
  • Network Security – Remote Access Technologies, IPSec            
  • Voice Service technologies; PBX, VMX, Call Center-IVR, Cisco IP Telephony, Microsoft LYNC       
  • Data Centre Services – Application Accelerator, Load Balancer        
  • Routing Protocols – BGP, ISIS, EIGRP  Vendor familiarization – Cisco, Juniper, F5
