Functions
- Infrastructure, Analyst, Network Technical
- Support, Develop and perform implementation activities for projects
- Perform Quality Assurance activities including identifying and submitting network design issues to Engineering
- Participate in Follow-the-Sun (FTS) on-call rotation
- Primary contact for vendor TAC in support of operational problems
- Develop and maintain Technical Support process and deliverables
- Develop and maintain process for hand-over of technology and service to Operations
- Develop and maintain Network Service Support Models
- Develop and maintain Operations Practices
- Develop and maintain workflow automation
- Other Responsibilities
- Assist with development and maintenance of
- Network Service General Practices
- Network technology and service ISRMPs
- Network technology recommendations
- Network device OS recommendations
- Technology training program
- Network service strategy
- Device configuration standards
Technical Skill Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Telecom Networking related experience with specialties in supporting one or more areas:
- Medium to large enterprise networking infrastructure/services
- Core Networking Technologies – Routing, Switching, TCP/IP, Wireless LAN Transport technologies – MPLS, Frame Relay, VSAT
- Leased lines, campus cabling
- Network Security – Remote Access Technologies, IPSec
- Voice Service technologies; PBX, VMX, Call Center-IVR, Cisco IP Telephony, Microsoft LYNC
- Data Centre Services – Application Accelerator, Load Balancer
- Routing Protocols – BGP, ISIS, EIGRP Vendor familiarization – Cisco, Juniper, F5
